Spain put on a clinic against Austria in their World Cup round of 32 match, winning 3-0. Mikel Oyarzabal was the star, scoring once in each half to send his team to the next round. The game took place in Los Angeles, and Spain controlled the action from start to finish.

First Half: Spain Takes Control Early

Spain came out firing from the opening whistle. They moved the ball quickly and didn’t give Austria any time to settle. Oyarzabal struck first in the 23rd minute with a sharp finish inside the box.

  • Spain held 68% possession in the first half
  • Austria managed only one shot on goal before halftime

Second Half: More of the Same Dominance

Austria tried to fight back after the break, but Spain’s defense stayed solid. Then Oyarzabal added his second goal in the 58th minute, making it 2-0. Substitute forward Álvaro Morata sealed the victory with a third goal late in the game.

Spain’s midfield controlled the tempo, and goalkeeper Unai Simón barely had to make a save. Austria never found a way to break through.

What This Win Means for Spain

With this victory, Spain moves on to the round of 16. They look like a serious contender for the World Cup trophy. Their next opponent will be revealed soon, but if they keep playing like this, they could go all the way.
